Frequently Asked Questions

How long is each session last?

Your Neurofeedback session lasts 33 minutes and it is recommended that you attend your sessions 2-3 times a week to get the most out of your training. Allow for additional time for preparation before and after your session.

How many sessions are recommended?

We recommend scheduling sessions 2-3 times a week to get the most out of your training. A total of 20 training sessions is considered the assessment period. By the 20-session mark, you should start to experience most of the benefits. For optimal and long-lasting results, we recommend 30-40 sessions to complete your Neurofeedback training. Some clients continue Neurofeedback long-term for periodic “tune-ups”.

What should I expect from a session?

When the client arrives, the provider will attach electrodes to their scalp and ears. All you have to do is sit back, relax, watch the graphics display on the computer screen, and listen to music. The computer system will automatically direct the client’s brainwave activity toward more desirable and controlled patterns through visual and auditory cues. After the 33 minutes session, the client can return to their daily routine.

When will I see results?

Many clients see results within the first 5 sessions, some even sooner. Clients may notice changes in mood, stress, sleep patterns, or mental clarity. We tell our clients up-front, to expect a minimum of 20 sessions in order to reach their goals. Depending on the client’s age, the severity of symptoms, and potential underlying factors the number of sessions needed may vary. Typically, we observe 30 to 40 sessions for long-lasting results.

Does Neurofeedback have any side effects?

Everyone is different and so is their reaction to neurofeedback. Most people have little or no adverse reaction to a neurofeedback session. Some patients may experience a mild headache and tiredness, however, it generally lasts only a few hours and will lessen as more sessions are completed.

Is Dynamical Neurofeedback safe?

Dynamical Neurofeedback® is FDA approved as a General Wellness Device and is safe and non-invasive and can be used at any age.

What does Neurofeedback feel like?

Aside from the sensors that are placed on your head and ears, you won’t really feel anything. In fact, most people find Neurofeedback to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. However, it is not uncommon for first-time clients to feel nervous during the first few sessions.

Is Neurofeedback covered by insurance?

Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance. However, we can provide you with a billing breakdown that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We recommend inquiring with your insurance provider.
